چکیده
This paper aims at introducing nonlinear interactions in the sound synthesis of resonators. Sound is performed using formalism Volterra series which used to describe and simulate weakly models their kernels. Interactions are constraints imposed considered excite (e.g. bowing a string or striking plate) connect resonators together (such as connecting bridge). requires resolve an inverse problem giving interaction force function given velocity. In case series, kernels have been defined by Schetzen. Using this definition, structure simulation direct problems each time step will be defined. Application Kirchhoff-Carrier connected Berger plate presented including computation (direct inverse), numerical results.

Solving interactions between nonlinear resonators
In the context of musical acoustics, physical models of musical instruments have to be more and more sophisticated. For string models, realism is obtained by taking into account tension, flexion, shear, rotation and coupling phenomena but also nonlinear effects due to large displacements. The sound synthesis modal method is extended to the nonlinear case using Volterra series. The inverse probl...

متن کاملTunable Resonators for Nonlinear Modal Interactions
Understanding the various mechanisms of nonlinear mode coupling in micro and nano resonators has become an imminent necessity for their successful implementation in practical applications. However, consistent, repeatable, and flexible experimental procedures to produce nonlinear mode coupling are lacking, and hence research into well-controlled experimental conditions is crucial. Here, we demon...
متن کاملModeling Memory Effects in Nonlinear Subsystems by Dynamic Volterra Series
Abstract Design challenges resulting from single chip integration of RF and microwave transceivers is requiring both more powerful analog simulation techniques and more accurate behavioral models that allow efficient hierarchical simulation. Today system level models are limited by their inability to effectively cope with nonlinear memory effects. The paper describes a modeling approach based o...
متن کاملNonlinear prediction of speech signal using volterra-wiener series
Linear Prediction (LP) analysis has proven to be very effective and successful in speech analysis and speech synthesis applications. This may be due to the fact that LP analysis captures implicitly the time-varying vocal tract area function. However, it captures only the second-order statistical relationships and only the linear dependencies in the sequence of samples of speech signals (and not...
